OUTDOOR FITNESS COURT
Fort Hays State University has partnered with the National Fitness Campaign and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas to bring an outdoor fitness court to our campus and community. The fitness court is a functional fitness circuit-training system featuring a series of full-body exercises that participants can complete in just seven minutes. The fitness court is designed for adults of all ages and accommodates a variety of skill levels and abilities at each station. The fitness court is a powerful way to encourage physical activity and community wellness. Phi Epsilon Kappa is a student organization within the Health and Human Performance Department that promotes healthy living through a sound mind and body. The fitness court would support this philosophy to the campus and Hays community at no cost to them. Once installed, PEK will assist with the initial launch, campus challenges, and group fitness classes to promote the importance of physical activity and ensure regular and consistent usage of the fitness court.
